Sports Union Memberships
By purchasing a Sports Union membership for the academic year, from the 1st August until the 31st July, you acknowledge and agree that:
1. You are eligible to join any or all of the affiliated clubs of the Sports Union, upon paying the appropriate individual club membership fee.
2. If you do join any of the Sports Union clubs which use any Sports Centre facilities at the University, you must purchase a Sports Centre Membership. This applies immediately, ahead of any activity for the club including training and competition. The only current exceptions are: Equestrian, Cycling, Mountaineering, Polo, Skydiving, Snowsports, Surf and Open Ocean Divers. The Sports Centre membership can be bought through the Portal, failure to adhere to this requirement will invalidate your club membership.
3. The membership is refundable within 28 days of purchase provided that the holder has not purchased individual club membership(s) in the interim or taken part in any club activity.
4. You agree to abide by the Sports Union Constitution and associated policies (including the Sports Union Policy document). All such documents are available to view online and in person from the Sports Union office.
Individual Sports Club Memberships
By purchasing membership for any affiliated Sports club for the academic year, from the 1st August until the 31st July, you acknowledge and agree that:
1. You have also purchased a Sports Union Membership.

On joining the Sports Union, and to allow us to communicate the benefits of membership to you, we will record and retain data pertinent to fulfilling the obligations of your membership and contact you only in respect of your participation in the Sports Union. We will take every care to securely store and protect your data and retain only for the period of your membership. Through our online membership platform, committee members will be able to communicate to the club regarding club activity and where necessary, and with your permission, we will liaise with external bodies to allow full activity within your club (for example with BUCS, SUS and/or transport providers for hire purposes and the University for accreditation purposes of committee members). Societies Memberships
By purchasing a societies membership for the academic year, from the 1st June until the 31st May, you acknowledge and agree that:
1. You are eligible to join (on paying the appropriate club membership fee), any or all of the societies affiliated with the Students’ Union.
2. You agree to abide by the Students’ Union Constitution and associated policies (including the Clubs & Socs Charter). All such documents are available to view online and in person from the Students’ Union office.
3. The membership is refundable within 28 days of purchase provided that the holder has not purchased individual club membership(s) in the interim or taken part in any club activity.
Individual Society Memberships
By purchasing membership for affiliated Society for the academic year, from the 1st June until the 31st May, you acknowledge and agree that:
1. You have also purchased a Societies Membership.
2. The membership is refundable within 28 days of purchase provided that the holder has not taken part in any club activity.
3. You agree to abide by the Students’ Union Constitution and associated policies (including the Clubs & Societies Charter). All such documents are available to view online and in person from the Students’ Union office.

Online Shop Terms and Conditions
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully as by using our website and purchasing any products you are agreeing to them.
Prices
All prices displayed are in pounds sterling and include VAT at the prevailing rate. Customers shall be responsible for any duties or local taxes where applicable. Prices may vary from those in store. You will be charged the price displayed on the website when ordering online.
Payment
All payments made online are processed securely. In order to complete an order, simply follow the instructions on screen.
Refunds
If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, we will refund you your initial purchase once items have been returned to us. Refunds will be accepted up to 28 days following reciept of your order. Please contact us first before returning any items. If simply wishing to return the item for a refund then postage costs for return must be met by the customer.
Damaged items
Our products are packaged to ensure they arrive to you in good condition. However it is possible that goods can be received damaged. Once we have received and inspected the returned item, we will replace the item free of charge. Should a refund be requested, then the refund will be made as soon as the item has been received by the Union Shop. In these circumstances we will also pay you the cost of the return postage. Please obtain a proof of posting certificate from your Post Office to enable us to process the refund for your return postage costs.
Exchange
If you wish to exchange an item, please contact us to arrange a suitable replacement This will then be dispatched once the original item has been returned. We are unable to offer refunds on postage costs for the return of an item.

Stock
We will always endeavour to complete your order in full but due to stock issues within our on-site shop, it may be that your requested size and/or colour is not currently available. In this instance we shall always get in touch to offer you either an alternative choice or the option to wait for your specified colour and/or size to come back in to our Shop. You will also have the option to cancel your order.
Delivery
Goods are despatched via Royal Mail services, and as such are subject to the standard terms and conditions of the Royal Mail. We endeavour to dispatch items to you within two working days or receiving your order. If you have not received your goods within a reasonable amount of time, please contact us with your order details. We will endeavour to trace any missing orders and where necessary apply to Royal Mail for compensation for a lost order. Postage costs are calculated by weight of product and destination and are clearly outlined during the order process.

Online Event purchase Terms and Conditions
Through our web platform we may make available event tickets including our Welcome week passes/tickets each year. To purchase an event ticket, simply follow the on screen instructions to complete your secure order. On completion of an order you will be sent a confirmation email of your order which you should check carefully. If you have not received your confirmation email within 48 hours, please contact us so we can confirm if your order has been received.
You must be a University of Stirling Student or a bona fide guest to attend our Welcome week events. Failure to prove student status could result in non admittance. In the event of non admittance no refunds will be issued. Guests must be signed in by a current student. The Welcome week pass guarantees entry prior to the time stated for each event – this will be clearly marked on the page outlining the events and communicated well in advance. Arriving after the stated time may result in non admission without refund.
Refunds/Cancellations
Should you change your mind, you may receive a refund if you notify us of your wish for a refund. All refunds will be at the ticket value of booking. Refunds will only be offered in the period up to 7 days prior to the start of an event only and in the case of Welcome week, this equates to the first date included in the Welcome week pass and covers all subsequent events included in the pass. After this time, it will not be possible to receive a refund. Unfortunately it may be necessary to amend the lineup at our Welcome week events (often at short notice) and in such circumstances we will do all we can to replace entertainment where we can. Where we do so, this will not be grounds for cancellation.
Once you have completed your payment, your Welcome week Pass will be ready and waiting for collection from the Students' Union when you arrive in Stirling – tickets/wristbands are never sent to you in the post. All Passes will need to be collected. For pass holders, admission will be with wristband only – all Passes should be collected in good time ahead of events and you will need to bring your confirmation and a form of identification to collect your wristband. Individual tickets ordered via Native will provide a QR code which should be shown for entry. Right of Admission is Reserved.
