University of Stirling CC | USCC
The University of Stirling Cycling Club, formed in 2013, is growing year on year in terms of numbers and results. Riders are consistently competing at BUCS, Scottish Student Sport and local events representing the club in a range of disciplines from enduro mountain biking to hill climbs. In the last academic year, we competed in 7 student events, picking up 7 medals.

The club is going from strength to strength, and we hope to grow the club to become the home of student cycling in Scotland. Wins and podium spots in BUCS and Scottish Student Sport are testament to our club’s growing talent, ambition, and capability. You can be a part of this.
“Discover the best roads, trails, and most importantly coffee shops that Stirling has to offer.”
Our weekly club ride, always ending at a cafe!
It’s not all about racing, there is a large number of riders who ride for fun and socially, participating in weekly rides on the roads and trails around Stirling; an area blessed with insane scenery and riding terrain. We link up with other universities around Scotland for fun riding days together, and we look forward to this years Scottish Uni Bike Social (SUBS) in the Tweed Valley.
During term time, we have trips away from Stirling to all over Scotland where we enjoy riding at new places and have lots of laughs. Last year our highlight was seeing the aroura borealis whilst camping in Aberdeen for our Aberdeenshire trip. Our trips are a whole lot of fun, riding the best roads and trails Scotland has to offer – it is definitely not to be missed!

“Joining University of Stirling CC has allowed me to get the most out of riding around Stirling this year. Knowledge from older members trickles down through the club and has helped myself and countless other newer club members to discover the best roads, trails, and most importantly coffee shops that Stirling has to offer. Its been great to be part of a club making a competitive impact on the student cycling scene but don’t worry, this certainly hasn’t come at the expense of a good social or night out.” - Calum Kitching, Second Year Environmental Geography and Outdoor Education Undergrad.
Off the bike, we have a variety of social activities including pizza parties, pub quizzes, and watch parties. Not to forget to mention our annual Christmas dinner! This year we are partnering with The Bean Tin Café which will become our hub for social activity before and after rides and when you fancy a coffee! We might be bias but we say it’s the best coffee in town…
It doesn’t matter what level you are, what discipline you ride, where you’re from or how you identify; University of Stirling CC is a club for everyone who loves to ride bikes; and don’t worry, we really love riding bikes. If you like bikes, you’ll fit right in!
Even in the rain we have tonnes of fun slipping on our local trails!
Come join us at any time!
