► Welcome

Stirling Uni J-Soc welcomes you

Our Student Society aims:

  • To offer support for Jewish students studying at the university.
  • To facilitate the holding of Jewish cultural / awareness events at the University of Stirling.
  • To actively campaign against anti-Semitism.
  • To further a greater understanding of the Israel-Palestine conflict.

It is vital that every minority is organised and has the ability to achieve representation in university life. Discrimination comes in all shapes and sizes and it is the aspiration of J-Soc Stirling to end anti-semitism, and where it springs up, to remove its presence from university life.

It is important for all of us in Stirling Uni J-Soc to enable Jewish students a chance to make a lasting committment to their faith.

JOIN UP!

We are currently recruiting members NOW. Our mission statement is simple and clear, beyond what is bullet pointed above it is worth noting that we are aiming to become an affiliate with the Union of Jewish Students [UJS], so this opens up more opportunities for us to offer future members who sign on.

If you believe in campaigning against anti-semitism, or even simply want to register solidarity with the aims as per above please email our chairman/founder @ dmt00003@students.stir.ac.uk

You do not need to be jewish to join, as concern about discrimination is something every good citizen ought to care about, and seek to get inolved in ending. Our members shall be happy to discuss anything Jewish with anyone, its all about raising cultural awareness, and providing a forum for Jewish students in Stirling University to find a way of making a lasting committment to their faith.

WE MEET...weekly during term time, Wednesday's in Studio. 6pm. We encourage all members to attend as many of the weekly meetings as possible, above everything internal society friendship can make it all a great way of making new friends.

Thanks for reading-

Dean MacKinnon-Thomson,                                                                                                                                      Chairman of J-Soc Stirling
