My name is Sandra Munro, I’m a first year maths and professional education student. I was elected into SUSA as a hall representative by my hall committee in my first couple of weeks at Stirling and from there I have been elected to Services Committee, Finance Committee and continue to represent my hall in the Student Activities Committee. I’ve been having my say in what I think we should be doing as a union and of course I have been putting across your ideas too. Now I want to do more for you. Drop in give us some ideas! Drop in get some advice! I also want to reach out to new students before they get here, sending out a freshers pack with information about freshers week early so that they get excited long before they arrive and stay excited because of the up to date website and amazing line-up the team will arrange. I want to promote the best freshers week yet. New Person, New Possibility. Sandra Munro #1 Publicity Officer
I believe publicity isn’t all about posters.
As publicity officer I want to increase and improve communication between you, the student body, and SUSA. I want you to know that the SUSA office is there and what everyone inside it is doing.
I want a comments and suggestions/discussion forum available online.
I want the SUSA team to hold at least one meeting per semester asking ‘what’s your chat? ‘
I want Executive Officers to write online Blogs so you can see what they’re up to.
I want questions to the Executive at council meetings.
I want every Executive Officer to have a personal SUSA email account for ease of contact.
I want you to know when council and senate are so that you come along.
I want to use the media societies to promote SUSA achievements
I want Publicity done over the internet. Reducing my print budget so there is more money for the fun stuff!
I want all the information you need to be a click away.
I want to make Bebo and Facebook groups with all the info you need to plan your week.
I want SUSAonline to work properly!
I want SUSAonline to have fixture lists and meeting times of all of the Clubs and Societies.
I want to get supporters down to the sidelines on match days.
I want Studio and Glow the place to be.
