Dedication* Passion * Enthusiasm * Commitment * Success This year I have brought you many several high profile Campaigns including ‘$kint’ and ‘First Class Shambles’ and this year, there is still more to come. I have put 110% into being your campaigns officer and now I want to do it all over again with new and exciting campaigns. I have played an active role in SUSA for 2 years now. I was elected as the Chair of Council and Senate in 1st year and I am currently a member of the Executive Committee. I have also been a course rep and a hall rep. I am one of SUSA’s most experienced officers and I want to ensure my experience continues to benefit you. ¤ Fight for lower library fines, cheaper car parking and a bigger block grant for your union ¤ Continue to fight for accommodation that is safe and secure whilst fighting to keep your rent low ¤ Campaign for a rent deposit scheme to be introduced ¤ Fight for a network socket in all university owned accommodation and also reliable access to the internet from these ¤ Campaign for more course text books and longer opening hours in the library ¤ Ensure the library re-development creates a library that meets the needs of every single student ¤ Continue to make sure that all students’ needs are met during the redevelopment ¤ Continue to support all NUS Scotland and National Campaigns- making them relevant to you ¤ Speak up for international students to make sure they are really being heard by the University ¤ Fight to get you what you want on campus whether its childcare facilities or healthier food in your union. ¤ create campaign focus groups to ensure that campaigns I run meet the needs of every single student For all this and more Re-Elect Lucy Strachan #1 for Campaigns Officer Don’t stop me now…
My name is Lucy Strachan, I’m a second year Biology and Professional Education student and I’m currently you Campaigns Officer. I am re-running in election to continue to be your Campaigns Officer.
