I’m Kimberley Hutchison and I’m a mature student aged 34 and this is my manifesto. I am a mum of four and have been studying at Stirling university since 2001. During that time I’ve been a full time student, a part time student, a single parent student, a pregnant student, a breast feeding student, and a homeless student. I was also the child of a mature student studying at Stirling uni….in fact I’ve been here so long that one of the lecturers has even acknowledged me in their book!! Continue increasing awareness and addressing the current problems associated with the childcare fund.
Because of my experience I fully understand the pressures of combining studies with work and family commitments and the financial implications of juggling student loans and grants with raising a family. As Mature Students Officer I hope to:
Raise awareness of child poverty that is occurring as a result of the inadequate childcare fund.
Provide support and advice and voice the opinions and concerns of all Mature students.
Ensure that mature students have full access to and inclusion of all activities on offer on campus.
So please vote for Kimberley Hutchison
