Club Mini-sites & Websites
Club Mini-Sites & Websites
As you will know, Mini-sites and general online presence can be a really useful tool for clubs & societies to recruit new members and to keep existing ones updated.
As an affiliated club of the union you have a few options:
1) Union Mini-site
Use the mini-site provided by the Union on this website. To be able to update it, you’ll need to be given administrative rights. First register as a user on the Union website (top right on this page) and create your own username and password. Then email elena.sarra@stir.ac.uk to request admin rights. Please be sure to specify your username, your committee position within the club as well as which club you will need the admin rights for. Once you have been given admin rights you will receive a confirmation email. Please consult the downloadable Mini-site Maintenance Guide (below) to familiarise yourself with the system. If you are an affiliated club but you do not appear to have a mini-site, please inform us immediately.

2) Own Website
Create your own website, and provide the Union with the relevant link. This way we’ll be able to connect the link to your club name on the Clubs & Societies List. This option will most likely require purchasing a domain as well as a specific person on your committee to keep this updated. If no one in your committee has any website experience, you might be better off administering a mini-site in the first instance.
Whichever option you choose please make sure you keep your site updated with current Committee contacts, club meeting dates & times (if available), as well as key events.
