International Buddy Scheme
Launched by the University of Stirling Students’ Union in partnership with the University of Stirling
International and EU Students can often be under great pressure to perform academically as well as being suddenly expected to adapt to a new country, a new culture, food, language, etc.
This programme was born with the belief that making the cultural transition easier and providing ongoing support will enable International students to focus on their course work sooner and will facilitate their academic performance in the long run.
The programme consists of a ‘buddy system’ where each International Student will be provided with a calendar of events where they will have the opportunity to meet and get to know returning students and other international students at the University.
