The Library
You can only avoid it for so long, but eventually you will have to use the library so here is brief guide to a few of the things that you should be aware of.
For first timers, whether it's because you have just started at Stirling or because you have somehow managed to avoid it so far here are the basics. The Library is very easy to find, hence why between classes a swarm of people will be standing waiting for everyone they arranged to "meet outside the library". If you've managed to miss it, it's next to Stir.cafe at the top of the stairs from Queens Court.
You'll be able to get a plan of the library from the stands as you head in, if not each floor has a list of what you'll find on it, simply follow the signs. It is worth while going to have a look round and just get your bearings. You might want to remember that you can only take out a certain number of books and that those assigned to part-time students can only be taken out by part-time students.
The most important thing to remember about the library is that if you can't find what you want you can always ask one of the staff at the help desk and they'll be more than happy to point you in the right direction.
In the library you can also access photocopiers, computers and printers. If you want more information there are leaflets available at the library that will explain everything you might have questions about or you can try the University Library website.
Oh and one other thing, the library has a penalty system for late returns which is strictly followed especially for RBR Books (Reserved Book Room). You have been warned!
